Reaching Others Through Christ held its first camp in Arlington, Texas during summer 2003. The organization was started when Kristi Zeller, Founder and Executive Director, was not able to find a junior high mission trip to meet the needs of her ministry. Having a lot of mission trip experience, Kristi decided to host a mission trip. The trip would have just as much emphasis on worship as it did with building something for someone in need. She believed that the students should be exposed to new ways of worshiping God.
> The Arlington camp had 32 participants and 4 ramps were built. In 2004, camp was held in San Antonio with 65 participants and 9 ramps were built. In 2005, camp was held in San Marcos with 71 participants and 11 ramps were built. In 2006, camp was held in Shiner with 76 participants and 13 ramps were built. In 2007, we hosted two camps in Edna and Clarendon. We were able to build 19 ramps combined.
> In 2008, ROTC became a 501c3 Public Charity! We hosted three weeks of camp in Rockdale, Kirbyville and Amherst, Texas. Over 200 participants were able to build 35 ramps! The leadership of ROTC prays that the Lord will continue to use us for his glory and allow us to reach other through Christ.
